In the beginning, The Sangha started working in J&K through setting up Free Medical Camp at Chandanwari, Pahalgam in 2007 during Shri Shri Amarnath Yatra and gradually under the stewardship of its humble mentor Swami SatyamitranandaJi Maharaj along with few supporting monks have undertaken various humanitarian activities for the well-being of the J&K region and established its branch in 2012 at Panjgrain, Nagrota near IIT and IIM Jammu.
The Sangha runs Charitable Dispensary at the Ashram premises, Mobile Medical services in the rural areas, Ambulance services, Medical Camp during Shri Amarnath Yatra at Chandanwari, Pahalgam, Langer Seva (Free meal) during the yatra at the ashram, School Education for backward classes, Students Scholarship programme, Sadhu Bhandara, Clothes distribution to the needy and so on.

Accommodation
The BSS Jammu branch has two storied building to accommodate pilgrims for Vaishno Devi Dham, Amarnath Shrine and other yatras. Currently the guest house has 14 rooms. Facilities include 24 hour utility water, drinking water, dormitory, vegetarian swatwik food in clean and hygienic environment. We can also provide cooking place for the pilgrims travelling in group those are bring their cookers and utensils. The rooms are modern, equipped with elegant furniture, bathroom fittings, western type water closets, curtains etc. Some rooms have air conditioners and water heaters. Pilgrimages are provided accommodation, prasadam, proper guidance for Darshan, easy and smooth performance of rituals, cultural and religious programme to create an atmosphere of high spirituality.
Booking will be on first come first serve basis. We recommended to book well in advance as numbers of rooms are limited. Visitors must bring their PHOTO ID and ADDRESS PROOF and two photocopies for staying at Ashram’s Pilgrimage rest house. This is the statutory requirement from Government for security reason. We cordially welcome you to Jammu & Kashmir and stay with us.

Mobile Medical Unit run by Swami Pranavananda Seva Niketan Jammu
The mobile medical unit with ambulance services runs six days in a week and 300 days in a year. This service caters most needy villagers in the unserved and underserved areas in the rural villages of Jammu region. The patients are provided Free health check up, free medicines, basic tests, health education and awareness.
Swami Pranavananda Vidyamandir Jammu
The BSS running a Middle school having 200 students affiliated with JKBOSE since 2014 at village Panjgrain near IIT Jammu Jagti. About 60% of the students are provided free education. To fulfill the increasing educational demand from the economically challenged people of the adjoining areas, the Sangha already took the initiative to extend its Middle School to a Higher Secondary School with Skill development training facilities at Village-Panjgrain near IIT Jammu.
Shri Shri Amarnath Yatra
The Sangha organizes free langer (meal) seva every year during Shri Amarnath Yatra in our ashram premises and free medical checkup and medicines for the pilgrims at Chandanwari, Pahalgam, Kashmir.
